Dear members (brothers and sisters),
If you identify as LGBTQ2S+ and work in the Greater Sudbury Region we would like to hear about your experiences at work and finding work.
Work & Inclusion, is a research study led by Suzanne Mills - a Labour Studies professor at McMaster University – in partnership with researchers at Laurentian University and the University of Windsor the Sudbury Workers Education and Advocacy Centre. Several local unions are participating in the study including (CUPE 4705) USW 2020, USW 6500, Unifor 598.
The goal of the project is to raise awareness about the challenges that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirit and other people face at work and to develop tools that unions and worker centres can use to promote workplaces that support and welcome LBBTQ2S+ people.
In the first phase of the project summer we are conducting an anonymous survey. English: workinclusion.ca/survey | en français: workinclusion.ca/sondage
We will report results from the survey next summer at Pride.
Note that individual unions will not be identified in reported results and that you can skip any questions you don’t wish to answer.
The data will be analyzed by researchers at affiliated universities (no unions or employers will see any raw data).
To thank you for your time – we will provide you with a $5 gift card.
For the full details about the study, please read the letter of information / lettre d’informations.
The research is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada (SSHRC).
